Springbank 10 Year (2019)
The Epitome of Single Malt Scotch; everything is here. Campbeltown's finest. Arguably the most complex 10 year old from any core range in all of Scotland. Delivers on all cylinders and covers every flavor territory.

Springbank 10 (2019)
ABV: 46% // 92 proof
Age: 10 years
Casks: Bourbon & Sherry
Color: Thick Honey
Non-chill filtered, Natural Color
Nose: Honey soaked complex citrus & melon notes with charred pineapple and that new Adidas smell. Sweet and sour tangerine marmalade. Hints of Kiwi and honeydew melon which I typically find in older Irish Single malts...fascinating. Peat is noticeable but never intrusive, more accurately described as a “sweet funk” but in the most oddly gratifying sense. Pound cake & biscuit batter. Some hallmark bourbon notes of vanilla & caramel but honey speaks the loudest. barely sugar, tangerine flesh, candied lemon peel, old fashioned lemon candies, hints of cola, cereal grains, sweet hickory BBQ glaze. Rounds out slightly waxy with red apple skins. Amazing stuff.
Palate: Full Bodied. Complex, meaty & spirit driven. No other Scotch single malt screams pot still perfection more so than Springbank. Flavor to Viscosity ratio is unparalleled. Defined barley sugars and bee’s wax. Sweet black tea. Rubber..again that synthetic new Adidas smell. Raw black and white pepper sprinkled honey on the back of the palate and jettisons into the finish. Bonfire embers. Sweet candied peat. Sherried fruits speak up, but it’s not a sultry Sherry. Great oils.
Finish: Long. Honeyed peat. More hints of kiwi - kiwi simple syrup; “Irish”, almost, in certain areas. Silicone. More Bee’s Wax. Petrol-like qualities. A little hot but pleasantly bitter. Zero off notes with no sulphure. Enough honey to keep your licks smacking all the way to the end. Arguably the best single malt produced in Scotland.
